Wire inserts are made in stainless steel (X 10 Cr Ni 18-8) and are used to reinforce or repair all types of tapings. Particularly adapted for soft materials (aluminium, magnesium), wire inserts presents a high resistance to thermal (up to 425°C for a short period of time and up to 325° C without interruption), corrosive, atmospheric conditions and mechanical strain. They are used in different areas ( railway, mechanics, armament, electronics, car industry, aerospace). Possible coatings: dried lubrication, zinc plating, silver plating. Wire insert can be delivered in green colour that makes the thread visible to the eye when it is inserted in aluminium tapings.
Comply with the DIN 8140.
Self Tapping Threaded Inserts are single piece, precision turned parts with both external and internal metric threads and are manufactured from mild steel, stainless steel or brass. These inserts allow permanent threads to be produced in a wide range of components and materials.
Features & Benefits include:
Tough and durable due to their substantial wall thickness, their use can reduce the thread size required due to the insert's large effective shear surface. This could save material as well as reduce cost and weight.
They eliminate the need for close tolerance holes required for tapping into the base material, damaged tools and low productivity - they need no special installation tool nor the time consuming process associated with installing a wire thread insert. Holes do not need to be separately tapped as the groove will cut its own thread so long as the correct diameter tolerances for the material and the insert are adhered to.
Self clinching blind nuts, provide you with strong female threads in panels that are too thin to be tapped.
Making use of a special proven clinch feature, the Blind Nut has excellent torque out and push out characteristics, whilst providing a flush finish on the underside of the sheet metal.
The blind (closed end) feature of this fastener has the benefit of sealing the Blind Nut and threads against foreign matter, whilst eliminating the risk of screws that are to long, this is especially useful in electronic components, preventing the risk of shorting.
Available in various sizes and threads in Zinc plated steel at 80 HRB and Stainless steel at 70 HRB
Rivet Bushes provide strong reusable thread and threaded spacer, in panels too thin to be tapped conventionally.
They can be installed in panels as thin as 0.5mm and as thick as 5.9mm
The Rivet Bush does not suffer from the maximum hardness or centreline to edge limitations of self-clinching nuts and standoffs, this makes them suitable for installation into panels of any hardness, such as hard stainless steels or in close to edge applications available in Steel and Stainless Steel.
Using pressure to install a Self Clinching product, all you need is the hole in the sheet metal as per technical date sheet and a suitable pressing tool.
Once in place they will not move.
Available in Steel and stainless steel.
Self Clinching nuts are available in round or hexagon.
Post moulded inserts can offer significant benefits over mould-in inserts such as a reduction of in place cost, there is also no secondary operation to clean flash residue from threads, fewer rejects due to dislodged inserts and ease of installation.
Expansion Inserts for hard thermosetting plastics are available in a range of thread sizes and lengths in headed and non-headed variants, are manufactured from brass and stainless steel and are suitable for installation in hard thermosetting plastics by simply pressing in to a pre-prepared hole. Featuring sharp diamond knurling that expands into the hole wall during screw installation to provide good
torque-to-turn and pull-out performance.
CD (capacitor discharge) Weld Studs are available in copper plated, steel and stainless steel,
Widely used in the sheet metal industry, once in place they are held with the spot weld.
They are available in sizes from M2 - M16 and in various lengths
Hammer Drive Screws made of Hardened Steel with an Electro Brassed Finish.
Dome Head with no recess.
Permanent Fixing.
Coarse Thread with large helical angle.
Pilot Hole is required.
Ideally suited to unhardened materials such as Mild Steel, Brass, Copper. Aluminium and Plastics.
Working on the same principle as Rivetnuts to install, except these only require the bolt that you are putting in to it.
It is the screwing action of the bolt the compresses the
Rubber Nut, then if you need to remove the bolt the Rubber nut then goes back to its original shape and can also be removed from its hole at this point.
Available with a selection of head styles and lengths all, fitted with a brass insert that the bolt screws into.
Also prevents vibration from being rubber.
Set the same as a Rivetnut, except this will give you a bolt not a thread to use.
Available in various thread lengths and width.
Requires a special nose piece for the setting tool.
Blind setting, only requires access from one side.
Will withstand high tightening torques.
Available in various sizes and lengths.
Designed for use in tubular metal runners, these come in flat under head or with gripping teeth.
D fferent shape and head sizes as well.
